BMX is an Olympic Sport easy to try at any age or level of experience. The track Chehalem Valley BMX is open free to the public outside of events, but we nothing beats instructional clinics to inspire confidence.

Contact us about meeting at the track, we have 1 day free memberships available to get started in events including practices and races. (Great for riders that are already comfortable riding the track)
New Rider Clinic - $40 for 1.5 h
A one day new rider clinic is only $40 for 1.5 hours of instruction. These includes your first race that afternoon and the fee goes towards an annual membership (just $40 additional for access to 300+ sanctioned BMX tracks! (Great for a general intro basics to get ready for race day.)

Beginner League - $ variable by program
Nothing beats these multi-day programs that allow for greater skill development within an encouraging team setting. Participants not only get a comfortable with the basics, but will learn how to advance their skills with additional techniques applied in realistic race scenarios. (More comprehensive skills development that builds from basic to more intermediate - best choice to build confidence)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Everyone! New rider clinics are designed for novices, but all are welcome. Races are grouped by age and experience making it one of the few sports the entire family can enjoy together. Participants often range from 4 to 60+ years old!
​
WHEN ARE KIDS READY
The rider should be able to comfortably ride on flat ground without training wheels to participate in clinics.
For kids not yet on pedals, ask us about our push-bike strider racing, it's free! Kids usually transition to pedals on the track around 5 years old.

ARRIVAL TIME
Please check in at the registration building prior to getting on the track. Arrive 15 minutes early if you need a loaner bike or helmet.

DROP OFF
Guardian should remain present, this is not a drop-off event.
