Support our non-profit's annual Lapathon fundraiser!
Purpose: Collect donations to support essential maintenance, improvements and outreach programs to maximize fun and community involvement.
Project Goal: Shade for rider staging area!
Arrive: 9am check-in (gate drops at 9:30)
Duration: 1 hour (celebration to follow)
You're Invited: Anyone big or small with a USA BMX Membership can ride during the event. Family and friends are welcome to watch and cheer your rider(s) on!
Earn Prizes: Collect pledge donations and you'll be eligible to win a variety of great prizes (need not be present to win). See full event info and Lapathon Prize links below for more details.
How do I Collect Pledges/ Donations? A Pledge Packet and smile will get you started. Pledge packets are available at CV BMX registration or click below to print at home. Donations can be made online, by check or cash and you can keep track on your Pledge sheet :)

FAQ
Are donations tax-deductible as a charitable donation?
Yes, as permitted. Chehalem Valley BMX is nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Tax ID EIN 01-0944988.
Can pledge sponsors get a receipt for tax-deduction purposes?
Yes!
Donations made online (QR code on pledge sheet) will automatically receive a receipt emailed.
Cash & Check: A generic receipt is on each pledge packet, they can take a photo with their phone. If a specific receipt type is needed, email the track.
Who can participate as a rider?
Anyone with a valid USA BMX license can participate as a rider at Lapathon. Race attire required: long sleeve, pant, closed toe shoe and helmet (full face recommended, gloves recommended).
How are Prizes Determined?
3 ways to win! Donations when made specifically for the Lapathon Fundraiser, valid August 18 - Sept 25th 2025.
Prize Tiers & Top Prizes, awarded by total donation amount collected.
Raffle prize(s), luck of the draw!
Top Lap Award, award for top number of laps ridden at event.
I can't attend or don't plan to ride at the event, can I still fundraise?
Yes! Prize eligibility does not require attendance or any lap commitment.
How do the two types of pledges work, flat vs. per-lap?
Flat pledges are a simple one-time amount donation. (recommended method: no follow up)
Per-lap pledges are a dollar amount promised "per-lap." This is calculated after event completion (requires follow-up to collect)
Can I send something to family and friends to request a pledge digitally?
Definitely! Share the link to the located in the SHOP: Lapathon Donation, and it has a field to enter the rider's name. (Keep track on your Pledge sheet to see your progress)
How many laps are typical?
Number of laps will vary by rider age and experience. Expect about 30 laps (average) ~50 laps (expert teen rider). The track is 1/4 mile with 60 minutes for lap scoring.
What forms of donations are accepted?
Check, Cash and/or Online (QR code on pledge sheet)
Does employee match count towards Lapathon prizes?
Yes! Provide proof of employee match submission by event deadline. Contact us if information or support needed chehalemvalleybmx1514@gmail.com

How do I submit Pledge Sheets before event?
Pledge sheet submission is easy, drop off at an a CV BMX event.
Do business sponsorships count towards Lapathon?
Business sponsorships brought in by a member can count towards a Free Racing Season Pass, but not other prizes.
How do we turn in cash and check donations?
Please turn in donations anytime at CV BMX event registration with associated pledge sheet(s).
Is there food at the Lapathon?
Morning Treats are available free for rider participants.
Is RSVP required?
Nope, just mark your calendar and join the fun!
